Sarah grew up in Sioux City, IA, because her parents were 185th Air National Guard members. Many men in her family served their country, spanning many wars and assignments. She grew up attending Memorial and Veterans Day services and participating in the American Legion Auxiliary.

Sarah is highly grateful to veterans for their service and sees assisting them in real estate transactions as a way to give back and show appreciation. They reside in a unique home known as a "SHOUSE," a clever combination of a shop and a house. In 2021, Sarah took a significant leap in her professional journey by acquiring her first two investment properties - adjacent, fully furnished townhomes in Brandon, SD. Her target audience includes traveling professionals and those seeking corporate housing solutions. To bolster the property management aspect of her business, Sarah thoughtfully constructed a "SHOFFICE," an expansive 56' x 40' structure thoughtfully designed to store equipment and serve as a dedicated home office.
